I've read others on this board say they take it once a day every day. The container of Monohydrate says to mix 1 heaping teaspoon, 5g, in fruit juice or other sweetened liquid 4 to 6 x's a day for the first 7 days. Then, for maintenance, 1 to 3 x's a day.
Is this what everyone else is doing?
Also, do I have to mix it with juice (I'm guessing do to sugar content, i.e. fast absorbing). I mixed it with my whey drink. Is this ok too?

You don't have to do it that way, but the effects of it would take longer. It is up to you. Over time you would get the same benefits if you choose not to do it that way. :)

And, no you don't have to mix it w/ juice. Just include it in your whey and have your pwo carbs.

So if I did want to take it that much for the first week would I still need to have it with some simple carbs? That wouldn't work if I'm carb cycling would it? :scratch:

Take it w/ carbs no matter what--that is unless you are doing low carb (i guess)

Not everyone bloats. I've been taking creatine for years and I don't bloat from it. Thats another reason to avoid the loading.

Yep.
:p Maybe I'm one of the "non-bloating" people. Nothing really seems to bloat me up, other than soy, which I don't eat.

Loading will definitely make bloating worse. Can also give you diarrhea.

So you take it right after your workout, with your regular whey and carbs? Do you do it after cardio too, or just lifting days? What about days you don't workout? there's no PWO meal, so no creatine, right?
Edit: Oh yeah, and what dose do you take?

not currently using it, but when i did, i never bloated or gained from it. I also didnt load it.. maybe that's is the trick?

The goal w/ creatine is to keep a constant level in your body. Once you reach saturation point, it does no good to take more until you drop below that level. So, I would try to take the same amount at the same time every day, not just training days. Also, you can take a larger amount to start with to get you to saturation faster, but you will eventually get there anyway. I'm not exactly sure what the recommended dosage is per bw, but I usually take about 1 tsp every day in the evening (which is after training on training days.)
