I would greatly appreciate suggestions for supplements which help with memory/focus.

I have tried: phosphytidylcholine, phosphytidylserine, dmae, and acetyl-carnitine.

Thank you!

I've heard that Vitamin B12 is good for that.

fish oil.
Ditto! I eat 9-12 caps a day. :p
The brain needs good fats.
Unprocessed nuts, extra virgin olive oil and fatty fish are some good sources.

Carbs are brain food... if you are on a steady low carb plan you may find yourself pretty foggy.

BINGO...

fish oil, enough carbs to keep serotonin balanced and fuel the brain, enough calories (ie not a crazy deficiet).

Thank you for the suggestions.

I eat a lot of salmon and take evening primrose oil, blue manna, and 6 fish oils a day.

I do keep my carbs low a lot. :(

Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I feel kinda bad for suggesting this 'cause everyone else has been so helpful - but I find cutting down on the booze really helps...

I wish

Leah has posted articles showing how alcohol is bad for weight loss so I rarely drink.

Google Dr. David Perlmutter. He's a respected neurologist (in Florida) who also happens to be very open to alternative therapies and supplements.

I'm actually working with him to help with my dad's Parkinson's disease.

Thanks...me, too. My dad's in the early stages, and some of the supplements (mostly Co-Q 10) have shown to help improve the symptoms of early Parkinson's. I'm keepin my fingers crossed.

vitamin B-12 supplements (especially sublingual tabs that dissolve under your tongue for a quick boost--your can purchase these over the counter at any drug store) and of course a well balanced meal.
