just a quick question, is it ok to do SS cardio in intervals, like 3 mins jogging at level 7-8 and then 3 mins at level 4-5? Or even 3 mins for jog and 2 mins for walk. I'm currently doing 2 HIITs per week and 2 30 mins SS cardio. Would this be as effective for SS cardio, or am i better off doing the whole 30 mins at the one speed? thanks

Sure, no reason why that can't be effective and it probably breaks up the boredom of straight SS cardio.

It definitely helps with the boredom- I like doing it in that interval style better than at just one pace- time seems to go by faster.
That's how I do SS too....it's not a big enough difference to be called intervals...it's more like, I get a burst of energy and then get tired...and then get bored so I speed it up a bit, hehe

I agree. I usually jog half the time with mine. It keeps your mind thinking about what is next so it goes by faster.
