View Full Version : Private Training Journals
Ok...we have implemented a private training journal. The forum rules are below. Access to this forum is by permission only. It's purpose is to maintain a training log ONLY. If you are having trouble keeping track of your workouts because your journal is too active...or you'd like to chart progress towards a competition or some such goal w/o clutter, then you can post in this thread and request access to the forum.
If you are seeking access just so you can see what's going on in there...don't bother...it's all just a duplicate of each members regular training journals.
Forum Rules
This forum is accessed by permission only. If you do not follow the rules your access will be removed.
The purpose of this private forum is to log your training and diet only w/o member comments making it difficult to find your last training entry. It is meant as a duplicate of your regular training log.
There will be no off-topic posts or comments from other members. All OT posts will be deleted.
You may not upload the same pictures to both journals. You can however upload to one and link to those pics in the other so you can keep track of things.
Keep in mind that while this is a private forum and not everyone has access to it...those who do have access to it will be able to see any pics you do post.

There isn't a way to make anything to where everyone can read it, but only those with permission can post in the designated area? I don't know how any of that works, so just curious. I don't keep up with many journals because there's so much going on. I like to see workouts, but not all the jibber jabber (albeit that it's funny). Just didn't know if there was a view only option or anything, so thought I'd ask.

I like to see workouts, but not all the jibber jabber (albeit that it's funny). Just X2 I enjoy reading other peoples workouts and diets, but I get overwhelmed with all the jibber jabber. I would love to see just training journals. :)
Would you be able to ask questions about training or will it be strictly posting workouts?

Hmm, I can't speak for Leah since this is her board and her idea, but I'd think that anything related to training/nutrition would be ok, since it's ON topic. I could be completely wrong though.
We'll see what the boss says.

My thoughts were no questions or comments...those could be asked in the regular training journal section. Again...OT posts like that, even if they are in regards to the actual training....make it difficult to find a specific workout.
Maybe this isn't as big a deal for anyone else but I ONLY log online...so I need to be able to find my last workout

Yes, and yes here too. I would like to keep it that way though Leah. I would like to start my log in there. Better than the scraps of paper all over my weight room :p
so you can post to it?

Yep. Which just is a safeguard (for me) to not allow myself to respond forgetting where I'm at

well I just tested it myself and I can't post to it so I don't see how you can.
the button is there...add reply and new topic...but once I click it I get an error message.
Are you saying you've clicked one of those and get the reply window instead of an error msg?

 thank you.
So, can everyone see the journals? Or you need permission to view AND permission to post.

Every senior member can view and a senior member needs permission to post

Private Training Journals are now visible to new members :)
Just stopping by to thank you Leah for the private journals...
I wanted somewhere to post my workouts but was a bit too scurrred to start one in the generic journals section where my workouts might be mocked or pulled to pieces and criticised :baby:
You the bomb diggy lol.
EDIT: I sound like a suckup
