I am having absolutely no luck finding fat free cheese with the exception of processed cheese slices.

I have even noticed that "light" cheese is getting harder and harder to find. What gives? :curse:

Does anyone know of a grocery store in Ontario that sells fat free cheddar or fat free ricotta cheese?

How else would a cheese be fat free, if not for processing to remove fat? Natural cheese isn't fat free. At least I don't think.

allegro....it's w/ the cheeses/cottage cheese/eggs but it's sometimes hard to find cause it's usually on it's own

Per oz: 60cal 1F 2C 11P

and it tastes relatively good.



edit...it's not cheddar though...mozza

I realize that it&#39;s processed to remove the fat. I was just looking for hard cheese (or soft as in the case of ricotta) instead of Kraft cheese slices.

You can get it in the US. I was going to smuggle some back but I was afraid it wouldn&#39;t last in my suitcase.

Hmm...I will look for it. I&#39;ve looked at Food Basics and Fortinos around here and have had no luck but I will look again.

Mozz would be good too.

I usually buy light cheddar since there is only one extra gram of carbs but less fat and more protein. Like I said, I&#39;m having a hard time finding that as well lately.

Ahh, gotcha.

I just buy the regular/full fat hard cheeses and work it into my macros.

Allegro is the stuff we have here too. It&#39;s with the packaged cheeses in the isle that Leah mentioned with the eggs and stuff. I like fat free cheese slices&#33; I can have "grilled cheeses" on my refeed days&#33;&#33; :clap:

I&#39;ve had the Allegro too. It&#39;s good melted, but I don&#39;t find it so hot tasting unless it is.

Yeah...I just bought some....it&#39;s in the same aisle...but up w/ the more expensive cheeses as opposed to the big bricks of cheese.

I buy this at Food Basics (Markham store) as well, but they moved it into another section about a month ago. It&#39;s now in the refrigerated section with the big buckets of feta cheese, italian meat, pre-packaged lunch meat

haha I&#39;m in the exact opposite predicament -- I&#39;m trying to find the fatty cheeses with least amount of carbs :lol:

Would cream cheese be considered a good option? Or should I stick to the more natural cheeses?

I have noticed there is not much nutritional value to cream cheese...other then being fatty.

Do you like ricotta cheese? Full fat ricotta has lots of protein as well. :)

Oh, I&#39;m on a total ricotta kick. I eat it plain with cinnamon on top.

You can also use them with egg whites and make a crepe.

So good.
