Did anyone have it? When and how much? Could it possibly be mistaken for a period?

Thanks!

I had something similar with my first pg. It was exactly on the day I was supposed to get my period, but it was so light and only lasted half a day. I kept waiting for the rest of my period, but it never came. Then I took a test and got positive. Good luck!! :baby:

dammit all, mine was on the right day for a period, but lasted two days, which is pretty normal, and was relatively heavy. Oh well, get to keep trying I guess! :)

I'm sure it could be different for every woman. If this is/could be your 1st preganacy, maybe the bleed could be longer because your body is new to this. Also, it probably depends on how long your periods normally are. If you bleed for, like, 7 days and this time it was only 2, then somthing is definitely different.

while it would be my first pg, my periods are usually 3 days and same amt of flow, so while this was shorter, It wasn't much. I'll take a test anyway I guess and hope.

Thanks!

What color is this spotting? red like a period, or brownish? Also, how long does it usually take the sperm to implant in the egg?

I don't know bc I have not experienced it yet, but my cousin said she mistook it for a period, a light one, so it was reddish I am assuming.

Also, just to clarify, implantation spotting occurs when the fertilized egg implants itself in the lining of the uterus, not when the sperm implants in the egg.

From what I have read, implantation inthe uterine lining can be anywhere from three to fourteen days after fertilization.

yup I did and nope, no little one just yet. But hey, I ovulate again in four days, so we'll do our best...

oh and I also back on the original topic of the post, I found this article saying the color is actually brownish, not red like a period. http://www.ovusoft.com/library/faqfertility.asp
