Microdermabrasion

Has anyone ever had this done? My salon screwed up and is now offering me a free service, they suggested I get microdermabrasion done. But really I have no idea what it is :shrug:

I've had this done, both at a salon and a Dr.'s office. The salon treatment is definately milder. They basically use a machine that "sands" your face with little mini-crystals and exfoliates the top layer of the skin. It helps your skin to feel smooth, also helps a bit with large pores if you have that issue. Painless and having it added onto a facial is really nice. :)

I've been having it done at the Dr.'s in conjunction with cool-touch laser (a completely different experience :curse:) to deal with large pores and old acne scars.
