How exactly does it work?

I came on the board with 2 points, apparently gimmes. After a while I had a few more points, but I can't find even one post of mine that, when I click on the little cloud icon, tells me that the post has received reputation points. So then I'm up to 65 points (yesterday) with one green square, and when I log on today all of a sudden I'm up to a cool century, with TWO green squares. And none of the posts that people have responded to saying nice things about have any reputation attributed to them.

Not that I'm complaining; I think having "rep" is a good idea for a board. But it's just a little confusing about how the whole thing works. (Did a search in the FAQ but nothing came up...)

You can view the comments people leave when they rep you in your user control panel.

It will show you what thread they were repping you on...but not the exact post.

Thank you. Now I can see it.

And apparently once you go into your CP to see this, it also activates the cloud icon thingy so that you can now see rep for specific posts.

Dang! I is stunned at all this technology!

How many peole do you have to rep before you can re-rep someone? It seems liked I've repped a lot of people, but have yet to be able to rep someone twice.

A bunch if people. Maybe i counted wrong - I found some that I didn't rep now.

How much is each rep worth? Seems the more reps you get, the more they are worth with each consecutive one.

My last rep, gave me and extra 20 points, the one before that was only 6 or something....??

it varies according to how long you've been registered, your own rep level, your post count, etc
