Just out of curiosity, what were your guys' first symptoms of being pregnant? The first thing you noticed that made you think you might be??

I'm still TTC, but my mom and one of my sisters said their boobs being sore was the first sign. My mom said in particular, her nipples were so sensitive, she couldn't even wear a shirt.

I had a lot of PMS-like symptoms, but didn't know for sure till I was late and then viciously sick one day.
It was the only time I got sick the whole time I was pregnant, though I still got nauseous a lot.

Really early on I had an exhausted not-quite-myself feeling. It was that feeling that always tipped me off before I even did the pregnancy test. Later, tender breasts, bloating and nausea.

For me it was my super spidey sense of smell. I kept saying I smelled funny and everything smelled strong to me. That was before I missed my period or knew.

I had this and was soooo tired. I felt "off" too just felt a little spacy and weird a week before I peed on the stick.

This was how my sister knew she was pregnant too! When we'd go to the supermarket, she'd spend aaaaaaaaagggeeesssss in the soaps/bath accessories aisle just smelling all the soaps

I'm only in my 6th week now, but it was the lack of symptoms that tipped me off. I've been plagued with fibroids and ovarian cysts for years, so every month I'd get the sore boobs/cramps/spotting/fatigue/etc. This month none of that happened, and that's what made me go hmmmmm? Sure enough, day before my period was due was when I got my positive.
And so far? Slightly sore boobies (less than I used to get). That's it. Hope it stays that way, too.

With my youngest, the very first symptom was before I had even imagined I might be pg. Suffice it to say, DH "discovered" that I was already producing milk (well, colostrum anyway). TMI, but in retrospect it was quite funny. Once we realized what it was we immediately decided the only possible explanation was that I was pg. And indeed, I was.

CONGRATS!!!!!
How soon does one start to get all the symptoms of pregnancy? - Is it immediate or does it take a few weeks? Or is it different for every person?

It's different for everyone, I think. With my most recent child (now 2 months old) when I found out I was pregnant, it was very early, 9 days post ovulation and I didn't have any symptoms. I was probably 6 weeks along before I had any symptoms. The first two times I was pregnant (both ended in miscarriage) I had different symptoms, and they came at different times. The very first time I thought I was getting the flu - really tired and I had the chills as you do when you are sick. Second time, as amyloo said, my husband "discovered" I was pg during an intimate moment. With my daughter I didn't really have symtoms early, either (6-8 weeks).

Well before I knew I was pregnant i just felt off. I know my body pretty good and something just was off. Then i tested and it was positive and I swear the next morning I woke up with boobs a cup size bigger and they killed.

Thanks for the congrats! And in answer to "How soon does one start to get all the symptoms of pregnancy?" I'd say that for me, thus far, I've barely had any signs or symptoms, and I'm glad for it. Fatigue hit me about 2-3 weeks ago, so I've found I've had to have daily naps, esp. after workouts, but my boobs are actually less tender than they usually are before my periods. And those are pretty much the only symptoms. Pretty much all the preg books that I've been reading make it sound like I should be hugging the toilet bowl daily - but since I'm not, I'm assuming that yes, it is different for every woman.

Wow!! I am so happy for you!! After all you have been through, girl - enjoy your pregnancy.
The first two times, the only symptom I had was the missing period. Every pregnancy can vary, too - even for the same person. I got sick a lot this time, so I was sure it was a girl this time...more drama.:lol3:

Tingly pins and needles and then soreness in my boobs. I also had an "aura" I just kind of knew in my soul. (both times) If that makes any sense.

around 4 weeks (right when I found out) my boobs were a little sore and felt firmer. Around 6 weeks, WHAM- nausea and fatigue like nothing I had ever experienced before. I haven't actually thrown up, but it seems sometimes like I wish I would, rather than just be feeling sick 24-7.
I also have ZERO appetitie. Everything but crackers sounds revolting.
I'm 5 weeks right now....feeling fine so far! Guess only time will tell if that crappy morning sickness hits me too!

Can I add I've been getting really freaky dreams about me being murdered, killed, or tortured?

Can I add I've been getting really freaky dreams about me being murdered, killed, or tortured?
I have a 6 year-old daughter and while I was pregnant with my second child I would have awful dreams about things like that happening to my DD :(
I guess the only thing that makes up for the freaky torture dreams are the freaky sex dreams - VERY vivid!!! I didn't start to get those until I was in the second trimester.

Very sore boobs, nausea, major fatigue ( I haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks, yikes ! ), and lately I have been seeing pregnant women every where I go ! We went to a funeral a few weeks ago and I said to my husband, "Wow, there are four pregnant women here." = Crazy !
ok, another question. how early do your joints start hurting?

I didn't realize I was pregnant the first time, because my cycle is so irregular. The first symptom I had was vomiting. A lot of vomiting. Morning, noon, and night. The second time I was pregnant, my hips were killing me! I was pregnant with twins, and my joints were wicked loose. I could barely walk for like 3 days. (That was about 8 weeks along)

BOOBS!!! came out and said hello. And they hurt like when you first start puberty. Also, like others have described, I just knew something was "wrong."

2 days before my period was due I got implantation spotting, like a really light period, for one day. Because we were ttc I knew straight away, so I was looking out for other symptoms. Within 2 weeks: tiredness, nausea, food & smell aversions, sweating, vomiting, sleeping 9 hours+ a night and uncharacteristic fluid retention.
