My triple chocolate chip cookies
1/4 cup light margarine ( I like the tub kind cause I hate butter)
1/4 cup of Crisco
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 TSP of baking soda
1/4 TSP of vanilla
1 egg white
1 cup of flour
that's the base mix to make the best cookies from what I have found
then to make these I add
3 TBSP of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 TBSP of veggie oil
1/2 cup melted dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup semi sweet CC
1/2 cup white CC
then I just kinda mix it all together but put the chips in by hand cause I hate getting them off the beaters.
Makes about 9-18 cookies
Bake on at 375 for 10-12 min I only use the air cushion baking sheets cause they don't burn. I have used them on my pampered chef baking stones and they are not as good.

Subs that I have put in as well.
I've made them with Heath toffee bits and chocolate chips these are the bomb
oatmeal and raisins just only use 1/2 cup flour instead of a full for 1 1/2 cups of oats ( think I haven't made those in a while cause I'm the only one that likes them)

Mmm, your base recipe looks similar to the one I use, and toffee chip-chocolate chip is my FAVE combination ever. Soooooo good.

I made the OP recipe....they smell devine and mixed up wonderfully....
I'm having issues baking them tho - they appear REALLY thin....and the edges seem to burn/cook SUPER fast.
I pulled them cuz the edges were going to burn...my friends haven't arrived yet so I don't know how they taste or if the middle is cooked properly..
appearance wise - these cookies aren't looking very pleasing to the eye unfortunately
EDITED: and when I let them cool on the cookie sheet and then attempt to scope them onto wire racks they fall apart....
unless somebody can tell me what I did wrong - I think I'm going to have to delete this recipe
has anybody had success w/ this recipe??

 That should be 1/4 cup of crisco and 1/4 cup butter. I was typing out the double and then started to type the reg. Sorry. I'll go fix the OP Im feel like a dumb ass

hmm maybe I made them too small ?
I more than doubled the amt put onto the pan this time around and they look slightly better, but still thin
..but the edges are still doing that thining out thing and cooking faster than the rest.
well it looks like the 6 I made bigger *might* be better - guess we'll see..
I used unsalted butter in stead of margarine - cuz I always use unsalted butter when baking cookies...
and you did say that the Crisco goes into the cookies right?
when you made the cookies are they thin or thick?

so you think the extra 1/4 C butter and crisco is causing the cookies to do what they do???
well I guess I'll give the cookies another shot  thanks Michelle!!
