Testing again...

This will be our second go round of trying... I'm anxious to take a pg test again, but not sure when I should b/c my period was late last time & now I don't know when I should be getting it again (..hopefully I won't be getting it at all!).
My periods have always been 'regular'...once in a blue moon they would be a day or two late, but the last few months I have been keeping track & they have always been close to 31-32 days apart. Regular for me. My last period was 5 days late...so weird for me....I thought I was pg then ....but no luck
:( Now it's only a few days away from the date of my 'normal' period & I'd like to take a test, but I don't know if my period will be regular again now or will be late b/c it was late the last time - and we all know that testing too soon doesn't do any good. Should I just wait it out and see if my period comes at all?
And by the way, what would cause my period to be late last time, if I've been regular in the past? It's weird to me.

are you using any sort of ovulation prediction method? Most women's luteal phase (time from ovulation to period) NEVER varies and any phase under 10 days is not enough to sustain a pg if you do happen to conceive.

If you are testing ovulation date (either by pee-stick test, basal temperature, cervical fluid) it would be a lot easier to figure out when your period is late and therefore, when you can test.
