First clsupnorth, then dare, then ME!!! I am almost 7 weeks! I am sure some people on here will be like "oh god- she's reproducing?" ;) but hey, we're excited and since I am not telling many people yet, I figured I could exchange some tips from other already-mommies and share on here.

Yay!

Thanks everyone! We are very excited, but I am also scared. So many of my friends/family has had miscarriages... we have our first appointment tomorrow and I will just keep crossing my fingers. (and trying not to puke! ;) )

Thanks! Yep, it is my first! I would love to be support buddies- when are you due? I am May 10. I have done A LOT of reading, so fire away on those questions, but hee hee, always ask your doctor too... :D I'm sure I will have a lot too. Right now my focus is just trying to feel un-queasy. :puke:

I know it is surreal! Well good to have a due-date buddy. The nausea comes and goes. usually 2-3 hours in the morning and 2-3 hours at night. That's the worst. Morning sickness my ass. At night it is ten times worse. I usually get in bed around 7 just to lay down!

hoochiemama- thanks and yup, I am super psyched that it won't be hot too!

thanks Amyloo!

....Colo, FabFit, Clsupnorth..... since we're all still in the early weeks of preg. do any of you feel "fat" yet? I don't know if it's just me, but I haven't quite been feeling myself lately & can tell I'm holding a lot more, um water (?) lately, (can't be fat yet b/c I'm not eating THAT much ..... or can it?  ). I don't know, I'm just feeling & looking a bit different & am wondering if any of you girls are feeling the same yet? I just don't think I should be feeling/looking this way so soon...

yup! don't despair! I have been feeling fat since way before I even found out. If anyone remembers, I posted in the health section (I think) about feeling really bloated but not knowing if it was gas or what. Turns out I was pg!

Right now, I still fit into all my old clothes, well, I fit in the butt and thighs, but I always end up unzipping or unbuttoning when I am sitting. I have pretty much switched to elastic waist just for ease. I feel like I am showing a teeny tiny bit.

A few things are the cause of this- some women show sooner with their 1st, some women just carry differently, i.e. "all belly" and also all the new levels of hormones coursing through your body slows down your digestion. Hence the constipation some women get and also gassiness and feeling bloated.

Try to just drink as much water as you can and wear comfy pants.

First change for me was the immediate water retention. Not a whole lot, but enough that my 'cut' went away. I was leaning out for comp when I was 4 weeks and found out, so all that lovely definition disappeared right away. So far I'm in the 9th week and I've put on 6 lbs - some days I feel 'fat', some days I don't. The occasional bloating makes me feel fat sometimes at night. But I know that if I've gained any actual fat thus far it's minimal - still have abs and not showing at, and none of my clothes have gotten smaller yet.

Funny story - this last week I haven't had any symptoms AT ALL and I not only stopped gaining weight, but lost a pound even though I'm eating 2500+ cals/day. So I got nervous that I wasn't preggo anymore and peed on a stick. Still pregnant. Phew.

One thing I noticed right away.... I haven't had cellulite since I was at least 140-145 lbs. I was 130 when i found out. Now I'm at 136. But in the first few weeks, at about 134 lbs, guess what I saw??? Some cellulite!!! GACK!!! Now, i haven't gained hardly any fat, so that just proves to me that cellulite is hormonally related. That's the only explanation I can give as to why I had some dimples reappear. Damn hormones.

Yes...
I have been feeling fat too! I haven't been able to work out becouse of morning sickness and feeling so tired. A month ago, I weighed 130 lbs and now I feel like I gained 10 lbs. I have a little pooch... kinda just looks like I'm bloated. I've been living in yoga pants. I can't wait till I can get my butt back in the gym ! I feel/look like crap !

....has finally hit me. :grumble: I was hoping & thinking it was going to stay away from me! lol. I've been feeling very nauseated (no vomitting though) for the past 3 days....and have been pretty much living off toast & gingerale. :o I hate having to eat this way more than I do being sick. Me no likey! :(
