Congratulations & BCP Question

I don't often post, but do keep up with most threads on the forum. I just want to say congratulations to all the new moms-to-be...I hope you all have fantastic pregnancies and beautiful healthy babies!!!!
I'm TTC and I've just come off BCP this month. I only took the first 5 pills on my pack and then stopped. Two days after I began bleeding for about 4 days. My question is, was that a period? Should I expect my next one in about a month from the first day I bled or should I expect it when I would have normally had it if I'd been on the pill?

hello and congrats on TTC! That part was fun! :)

I went off the pill Feb 28 and was also a few pills into my pack. Same thing happened to me- I had bleeding about two days later for three days. I don't think it was a real period, more like breakthrough bleeding that happens if you miss a few pills. Then, exactly 28 days later, I had a full period. From what I read, I was lucky- my cycles came right back and were very regular. Some gals go off the pill and don't get their periods back for months, even a year!!!! We got pg August 19. (we used condoms until April so I could get a few months of prenatals in me and make sure my periods were regular so I could chart)
