What do you think of set point theory? Is it just an excuse people use when they aren't at a weight they want?
I ask this question because as I am in weight restoration from an ED, I worry that my body will go to a set point?!? I am not sure I even know what that number would be? :(

I think it happens, but I also think it is an excuse just like any other as to why someone is not at the weight they want. I think (and this is my un-certified opinion) that your body will find its own set point or comfort zone, however you want to call it, depending on your current diet and exercise. If you are eating properly and exercising correctly, your body won't head straight to 200lbs just because it wants to be there, nor will it cling to an unhealthy low weight just because it was there before. If you change what you are doing, your set point will change, too.

I have always wondered about this. And what about when you starting losing the weight, why is it hard at first and then seem to fly off easier...?

This is exactly what I thought....

For me, it was easy to lose weight the first couple of months, however to shed the last couple pounds, it's now even more harder. I've sort reached a plateau right now!

But still, I think it may be because that your metabolism change and is so used to the caloric expenditure, i.e. if you are still eating clean and exercising with consistance for more a couple of months. I'm still interessed to learn more about the metabolism function in this situation.
