View Full Version : Car Accident!!!
What a freakin' day! After I had gone to the doc's for my ultrasound (which again, show everything to be good :thumb: ) I was on my way to my mom's to tell her the news...and some freakin' dumb teenage chick ran into my car!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean totally slammed right into me...she must have ran the stop sign or something, 'cuz she was comming at me like a mother fuc*** (you get the idea) & if I hadn't seen her suddenly out of the corner of my eye & hadn't swerved some to get out of her way, she would have T-boned directly at me on the driver side!
My car ended up in the total opposite direction in which I was travelling (the accident was completely her fault) & the front of it totally smashed to sh*t!
Great.....
I wasn't totally injured, but am in A LOT of pain from severe whiplash. My husband came and got me, and after sitting at the scene with the cops for 1/2 hour, we went and sat at the hospital for almost 2hrs so I could get checked out. Everything is okay so far....just some major neck & back pain, so I'm sure I'll be pretty stiff for the next few days.
Stupid damn chick...I was so ready to strangle her!!!! :box: Ahhhh, now I have to wait to get my car fixed and everything. I'm so mad!! :curse:

Oh, Dare, how awful for you. You must have been freaking out pretty badly until you got to the hospital and had your ultrasound and were checked out by the doc. Thank goodness everything is okay with the baby. Yeah, unfortunately, you'll probably be more sore over the next few days.
What did the girl say?? Was she just daydreaming...not paying attention?
How frustrating for you to now have to be without a car, wait to get it fixed, etc. Ugh.

That's terrible, Dare. I also had a car accident and it wasn't fun. Initially I thought nothing was wrong until I started having major back pain. (without any weight training or anything unusual)
So get everything checked out in the next 2 weeks or so.

What's the problem? I checked into my cramping thread to say hi & thanks to everyone & didn't want to rant in there about my car accident, so I started a new thread.

This is why I fight on the side fo the road so much.
Hey everyone! I didn't get much sleep last night...too much pain...and today, wow, it's not even funny. I can hardly turn my neck at all & it's just killing me. :( I still can't believe that happened to me! I'm dreading phoning the insurance company on Monday & going through all the crap of getting my car fixed. It bites.

I'm sorry you're in so much pain.:console: I know since you're prego there aren't many meds that you can take for the pain. Does your OB know about the accident? He might be able to give you something that's safe for you and the baby so that you can get some respite from the pain. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Sorry to hear about your accident. If you can't use drugs, how about some acupuncture for the pain? I've had it before, the procedure is entirely painless (despite the fact that they're sticking needles into your body; you really can't feel it), and it works wonders for a lot of things.
Hope you feel better soon. :console:
Hi again everyone  Thanks for all the support & best wishes. I haven't been taking anything for the pain, just toughing it out. I am feeling a lot better today though, my neck still hurts, but I can at least move my head! I think it'll get better as the days go on. I may go in and get a massage later in the week just to loosen things up a bit.
I've never tried acupuncture Char-dawg....I know it's not supposed to hurt, but the thought of sticking needles into my body..:yucky: But I guess it's always an option!
