My knees, ankles and bottoms of my feet were especially sore during this pregnancy (especially when I first got out of bed in the AM) and I attributed this to the weight gain of pregnancy along with my joints loosening up. Well, I am 2 1/2 months post-baby and I still have this same soreness in my joints and no baby weight. I don't remember this happening after my daughter was born......but I am 6 years older so, maybe age has something to do with it (yuck!). I wonder how long before this feeling goes away if in fact it is a residual from pregnancy?
I will most likely start working out this week as I have joined a gym and I am wondering if this soreness or effects from it will give me a problem when I lift? I tried looking up information on the web related to sore joints after pregnancy and I didn't find much of anything that was helpful.

i remember the bottoms of my feet aching CONSTANTLY, even in the middle of the night. they would throb, ache, and it felt like i was walking on pins and needles all the time.
i didn't gain that much weight, i think it's just due to the prolactin (i think that's the hormone)that loosens up the joints. i'm sure the weight gain can attribute to the pain though.
i honestly don't remember how long it lasted after i gave birth, if at all.
but, i ended up with one foot an inch and a half longer than the other!!! yes, i'm a freak!
:)
sorry i couldn't help much.

are you nursing?? that will keep the hormones in your system longer. be careful when you start back......i want to say i coykd still feel it until after i quit nursing......sorry...not much help!
I ws super sore for about 3 yrs. I ws tested for all kinds MS, Fibromyalgia, you name it, arthritis. Upping my fish oils helped me alot, since strating my training.

I felt this too for a while, probably 4 months or so.
Hang in there.
My mantra, it takes 10 months to grow the baby, at LEAST that long to get back to normal. Start slow, pamper yourself. I am the queen of trying to make things happen faster. No matter how frustrated you get, nature has it's way of making things happen in their own time. You'll get back to normal eventually if you work hard.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.
I thought I knew what to expect already having one child - I keep forgetting how different each pregnancy experience can be even if they are the same in some ways. I'm definitely not bouncing back as fast from this pregnancy in some ways, but I think my little guy is even sweeter than my daughter was as a baby if that's possible and he sleeps SO well! I am blessed to have the two of them :) Just having a hard time with my body.
