Can't see the journal section [Archive]

A friend of mine joined this site and she can't see the journal or chat room sections? Do you have to have a certain amount of posts to see these sections?

I have more than ten posts, and have logged out and back in a few times, and not a whole bunch is happening.

Still can't see profiles, journals, etc.

I am happy to report, however, that the wide variety of awkward emoticons are readily available and working.
