Does anyone eat stuff like sugar free hot cocoa and such on low carb days? Or will it hinder results? I do  but I haven't noticed any hinderance yet.. It helps keep me sane on some days, but sometimes I wonder if it is a good idea? This is the longest I've carb cycled, so while it hasn't hindered anytihng as of yet, it might still be too early to tell. Of course, I do keep it all in moderation. But I was just curious on everyone's thoughts/experiences on this?

I figure if its in moderation and fits into your daily totals then go for it. If you notice a weight loss slow down, take it out.

I think if it doesn't hinder your progress and it is in moderation then it is okay. For me, it was hindering my progress I think so I have really, really cut back. I think we all have our own perception of moderation. I was adding 100 calories or so though when you consider the gum. See the incidental calories thread.

I do try my best to keep it really low key. For instance, this morning, I had 1 tablespoon of SF vanilla coffee creamer in my coffee which was 30 calories, 2.5g. of fat and 2 carbs. If some cravings hit me hard this evening, I'll probably have some SF Chai tea.

I agree with what was said above. If it fits the macros, you are making progress towards your goals and are sticking to your program then you are good to go!

instead of buying a commericial "sugar free" hot chocolate mix...Just buy a big ol container of regular COCOA, in the baking supplies section.
One tablespoon is about 1.1gram protein
3 grams of carbs
0.75 rams of FAT
and about 20 calories total,
I mix in about 2 packets of sugar twin, or sweet and low, whatever, with boiling hot water and put it in my favorite SuperSized Travel Mug, (like 2 regular size coffee cups) add cinnamon too if you like.

It's an overall very low calorie CHOCOLATE FIX, and very satisfying, I JUST LOVE CHOCOLATE TOO!!!! :hi: It's my little way of having "chocolate" on a day when I really shouldn't be having chocolate. Try it.

I'm all about sugar free gum on any day.
I also buy the new Nestea sugar free drink packages, they are my new best friend.
I will sometimes have Diet Pepsi but that is only about once a week.
