Sweet Brie Appetizer – perfect for the holidays

1 large Brie wheel (Trader Joes)
1 stick of butter
1 cup brown sugar (there should be more sugar than butter)
1/4 cup kahlua
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
French bread slices and/or thin crackers

Place butter and brown sugar in a teflon coated pan, this will keep it from burning, cook till bubbling for 3-4 minutes, add kahlua, cook 1 or so minutes, pour over Brie (rind and all). Place Brie in oven and bake until melted (5 mins or so). Pull from oven and serve with bread or crackers. ENJOY!

So when serving this, do you eat the rind and everything? Sorry that might be a stupid question but I have no idea, I don't even think I've ever had Brie before.

YES, it creeped me out at first, but tastes really good! I made this on Saturday night for my grandfathers birthday party - we had it as an appetizer....EVERYBODY FREAKING LOVED IT!!!! they raved over it - my grandfather was like "that is out of this world" :lol3: sorry guys, forgot to take a picture!!!

we ended up using 2 of the 5inch small brie wheels from trader joes - forget the brand, but it comes in a yellow box. only a full wheel was consumed and we had about 25 ppl there...

I think when I have my holiday party on the 17th with my friends we will just use 1 small brie wheel - it will be PLENTY1!
