Any thoughts on how long you should keep boiled eggs in the fridge before they go bad? I don't want to leave them till they actually start to smell, but I have had some in for about 5 days and am not sure. I boiled a dozen on Sunday and think I may have done too much at once.

I would say 4 or 5 days as well.

I agree, I think 5 days is safe...but 7 days?? NO WAY! sounds too risky.
Just an idea...if you find you made too many boiled eggs, and it's getting to around day 5 or so...why not mash them up like an egg salad kind of mixture and FREEZE IT for future use.
Really don't know how well this mixture would FREEZE and re-thaw out again...but hey if you were going to throw them out anyway it's worth a try.
mine never last that long, but i would say the same.. 4 days? 5 days?

I'm pretty sure if you leave them in the shell they last longer. If you peel them, only a few days.

[SIZE=7][FONT=Courier]Oopsies, I've eaten them past 5 days. :(
I wouldn't suggest freezing cooked egg whites--they get a nasty rubbery texture. :(

Well I'm not sure, but don't you think they smell bad instantly? I like the taste of them but ehh the smell is rancid.
