BBD...on Erik's questionnaire when you get started. What did you put for body fat if you didn't measure with calipers? Just curious, because I am trying to get this thing in the mail today. I have NO idea what to put. I had one of those awful Tanita scales, but took it back.

I don't think it really matters. I used an Omron handheld device. He probably pays more attention to your progress otherwise (measurements etc.).

Just get yourself a pair of the cheap plastic ones from Netrition. They'll do the job and won't break your bank account.

Like Blondell said, the actual number isn't going to matter. It's where that number goes - while you're measuring consistently - that matters.

we have a pair and just track the measurments at each site, and make sure the measurement goes down while dieting.

Same here. I don't really care about the actual % (and don't bother computing it). Rather I look at measurements sites to make sure they are going down as I diet.
