How long do you think it'd be okay to wait before eating cottage cheese if it was not refridgerated? (in a lunch bag). Or is this pretty much an eat immediately type of thing?

umm, i would think maybe until it gets to room temp? I hate it warm, so i've never really tried, i always keep it in the fridge.

I agree with Demille - once it gets room temp I would be skeeved out to eat it. :yucky:

This was mentioned in a previous thread where (myself included) several members said they eat it after sitting out (or for me, in my work locker) for several hours and it's still good. I keep mine in a small cooler at work, it does eventually get to room temp--I still like it though.

I take it to work, sometimes it sits at room temp for a few hours, it's never bothered me before:thumb:

Okay, good stuff. I wanted to be able to bring it for lunches.. .tuna is just disgusting me to no end these days so I was hoping it would be a decent alternative. I'll maybe try and pack it with a ice pack or something too to help with the situation.

I had some today after 2-3 hours sitting in the car, it was fine. Probably not something I'd try in the summer.
