View Full Version : Can you lose fat without losing weight?

Over the last six weeks, I have been doing the Thunder training program from the stickies. I am 5'3" and was144 lbs when I started and have dropped 4 pounds by keeping my calories at 1700-1780. I tried on a pair of my inspiration jeans (those that I bought too tight- size 4 petite) and they looked pretty good on. In fact, they were even a bit loose on the legs.

So even though I lost only 4 pounds, could my body look and act like it lost more? This is confusing to me.

If anyone would like to comment, I would appreciate it.

Yes. This is normal.

Normal is good. Thanks Pandora.

Sounds like you've been able to gain muscle while losing fat. Typically a hard thing to come by, so great job.

Thanks Thunder.

This has happened to me aswell. I weight only 1-2 lbs less then I did a couple months ago, yet almost all my clothes are falling off of me. I couldn't understand why no one was commenting on my weightloss, I had lost 10 lbs since January. It was until a month later (and still at the same weight) that people finally started noticing.
