Could my Creatine Monohydrate be giving me sores in my mouth? (it's not herpes, so I don't wanna hear anything of the sort! :finger:  ) I started taking it again on Monday morning and got little sores on my tongue that night...now there are three and they hurt A LOT! :( I can barely eat which is proving to make my bulking diet hard to follow!

I've never heard of that effect, but why not drop the creatine, let the sores pass, and start the creatine again and see if the effect returns.

Are you using creatine with added carbs, or is it straight monohydrate?
Sounds like you have canker sores from some sort of food. Its usually from something really sweet or acidic.

That's why I always suggest getting the creatine without glass shards.

A tad off the op's post, so excuse me ;)
Does one take creatine everyday, or just on the days you train PWO?
I have heard conflicting info, does anyone have a final answer?
Thankyou.

I have only been taking it on days that I train, not sure if that is right or not.

Take it everyday while you are taking it. The point is to keep your muscles saturated.

I have one serious question:
Does using Creatine Monohydrate is doing any good in term of fat loss???
I have a strong/muscular body, but is layered with a good amount of fat...
So for now, my goal is only in term is to shed fat and then I will see after about bulking...

It does not assist in fat loss, no.

You should know what a supp is AND how it works before considering using it.
Duh.
It has nothing to do with fat loss at all. It is a means to retain or increase strength.

But here's a question....could it help maintain muscle during a hypocaloric diet? I would assume that for some the water retention may throw you off, but if it helps keep some muscle wouldn't that be a decent thing?
Does the water retention fade over time?

The water retention is intramuscular, not sub-q.

Do y'all prefer monohydrate or EE?

I realize it doesn't help with fat loss, and that is my main goal right now, which I am achieving (I can tell because my belly is getting flatter and less flab every week :p ). I take it every day either post workout or if I don't workout I take it anyhow. I am finding my strength has increased a lot, and it helps keep me going through my workout even though I am in a caloric deficit. I am taking creatine monohydrate, some kind of creapure brand, just plain unflavored powder, 1 tsp a day (5mg). And it may be causing some slight water retention but I am not noticing it on the scale at all. So it may not be helping with fat loss, but it sure isn't hindering it either
