"Spot the spotter"

I see people hanging around, but I don't see actual spotters. Do you guys?
And another thing. The presence of a camera in a testosterone loaded lifting room? Not a good idea.

Take care,
K

First of all, the lifter in question has squatted that much before, and has squatted even more than was on the bar. Second, when the lifter crumbles and the 700 lbs comes crashing down, do you really think a spotter could catch it? Even in a PL meet, spotters don't attempt to stop the free fall of a barbell. Third, most competitive athletes record their training by video so they can see for themselves the aspects of the lift they need to work on.

This happened at Iron Sport; Bacher is an established competitive PLer and a great guy; and instead of criticizing, maybe you should extend your wishes towards his speedy recovery, since chances are he's going to see this thread.
