Any idea how long one would have to take off of training after a D&C? Anyone with experience with this? I'll be having one in the next few weeks and am hoping this won't derail my training.

I'm not sure exactly but I would definatly wait a few weeks after, just to be safe.

Dialation & curretage, common after miscarriages, hope all is well homeschoolmom.

I think this would be best to talk to the Dr about, but my opinion would be about 3 - 4 weeks.

Dialation and curette of the uterus. In other words, scraping out the lining and contents of the uterus. Not fun. :( Need it in preparation for an endometrial ablation(sp?). I didn't even think about it, but the cervix will have to be dialated(hence the D), so I'm thinking that swimming and sex will be out too. This sucks!

Christina, you beat me to it! Thank God, no miscarriage, just nasty bleeding issues. I'd prefer to have a partial hysterectomy at this point in my life, but insurance won't cover it until I jump through all these other hoops. I've had 4 beautiful children, so I don't need the equipment anymore!! I just am concerned about how long this is going to put me out of business, so to speak. A couple of months after the D&C, I'll have to have an ablation(sp? I need to look this up!!) done and see if that helps with my issues, so I'll be out of business again for a bit. I just don't want to get out of my workout habit. I've come so far and I hate to lose all my gains. KWIM?
