Wondering if any one has purchased/heard about John Berardi's "Precision Nutrition"program. Any input on weather it's a good thing? Is it worth buying?

The consensus seems to say that you can get all the information for the most part, if you read his articles on TMag and his own personal site. I'm sure for some it was a worthy investment, but I know for others it wasn't.

Thunder do you agree with his principles?
the info is pretty general - there is no cookie cutter plan....
It seems one must buy to get guidelines for a specific personal plan.
The cook book and other books look interesting.

Berardi's principles aren't far from what you will find discussed here. He eats more fruit than some ;) but advocates pretty much the same macros. I think buying the plan really just takes the 'work' out of planning everything yourself. You won't learn much more than you would have picked up here, or like T says by reading Berardi's articles.
Quite frankly, if you read through all the effective training stuff, and the nutrition stickies, it is pretty easy to plan a program yourself. The important thing about reading the stickies is to MAKE NOTES. For example, make a note about how much protein, carbs, and fat/lb of body weight you think you will need. Make a note of which web sites can track your calories for you (fitday.com). Etc. Once all your notes are made, you can go and write yourself a program ;)

Yeah, I agree but my brother is looking for something and I thought it might be good for him. He can't stand being online.

I would just print him off Berardi's Lean eatin' articles, and T's nutrition articles and let him work off of those then. Much cheaper  . Besides... if he doesn't like being online, he probably won't want to sit and listen to the audio CD's or watch the DVD's and then it would be a waste of money  .
