Okay hopefully I don't sound stupid, but would calorie cycling work. Basically what I have found myself doing this past week. Similar to carb cycling but not quite sure if the carbs were the macro to really fluctuate..I mean my fat and somewhat protein changed too...Is it bad? effective? I was thinking about it and basically I'm keeping my body guessing right?

By default, calories will fluctuate when cycling carbs...there is not really any benefit to cycling protein and fat so if you're new to this kinda thing easiest way is to keep protein constant, fat relatively constant and cycle the carbs.

I don't think not paying attention to your macros is the most effective way of doing things.

Leah, I'm a little confused by your response here since you said the following on the "Protein on High Carb Days" thread:

I always adjust protein and fat when carb cycling[/quote]

She said it is the easiest way, but didn't say it's how she does it. :)

Yes :)

....and for clarification....I do not mean to imply that I "cycle" protein....I still get my minimum requirements and on any given day my protein fluctuates between 1 and 1.25/bw anyway......I simply adjust a few grams here and there .

OK. That makes more sense.

Apparently I don't understand the difference between the words "adjust" and "cycle."
