I need to find a new blush, mine seems to make my cheeks look really shiny for some reason. What do you guys use? I've always used a powder but I"m thinking maybe i should try something else....

try a matte blush instead of the shimmery kind that ought to make a difference. I am currently using Face Of Australia , u probably can't get that where u are..

Since you asked, I use Orgasm by Nars. It's supposedly one of the most popular shades of blush. It's a shimmery peach, though, so probably not for you.
I also like Stila Convertible Color. It comes in a little compact and is a rouge, so no shimmer. You can also use it on your lips.

i don't use blush. if i want more color i just swipe some bronzer over the apples of my cheeks. blush is so 5 minutes ago. ;)

Covergirl ...something kinda bronzy looking..I can't pull of the light color blush because I have a darker complection...

I use both bronzer, for underneath my cheekbones (has a slimming effect) and highly the apples of my cheeks with a deep pinky color. Annabelle has good blush colors but they tend to crumble easily. I would look into Almay or Covergirl.

You know, I have often wondered this myself here lately.IS blush outdated? To me it just does not look natural..no matter the shade or how light you apply it.

I also use Orgasm by NARS, it is fantastic and I think would suit most skin tones well. It really pops against tanned skin.

I realy just wear blush on nights out, but I absolutely swear by Botany 101's "Beach" blush... it's a brown/copper color, but I can't seem to find the website any more. :shades:

Love my NARS blush. I don't have the "Orgasm" shade, but I have 3 others and love them all.

I find bronzer just makes your entire face have more colour...better than blush IMO

I used to hate blush, but I got "Mosaic Champagne" from Victoria's Secret as a bonus gift not too long ago, and I absolutely love it. Very subtle, and I just dust some all over my face (emphasis on the cheekbones) to give a nice glow.
But I'm thinking I might switch to "Orgasm"...

Bronzers are the way to go, they leave a slight shine, but it's not too noticeable. I LOVE this shimmer brick compact by Bobbi Brown, I use it as eyeshadow sometimes :)

I've been using MAC blush for years and love it. I also use MAC eye makeup, which lasts throughout the entire day and looks like I just put it on at the end of a workday. After everyone's posts I think I might have to check out NARS though.

I think at the MAC counter you can buy blush that will look natural on your skin tone. THe one I have is more bronzy then pinkish. I hardly ever wear it but when I do it looks nice. If I must so myself. Its natural looking and sexy to me.
But to use blush on a regular basis...thats not me.

Nars - Orgasm....gotta love that name! But it is a very natural colored blush - kinda of peachy. I also love Nars Laguna bronzer! Getting a great brush is also so important so you can blend and have it look natural!
