I'm nice.....really!! :innocent:
Rub a small amount of olive oil on the peppers. Place on top rack of grill, and grill on a moderate heat until peppers just begin to blacken. Put in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, or place in a large Zip bag. Let cool. Peel skin, and seed. :)

Cut them in half, clean out the seeds/middle. Baste inside and out w/ olive oil, sprinkle inside and out with salt. Then roast. I throw mine on the high basket in the grill and shut the lid. But you could just as easily do it in a broiler oven, a sautee pan. . .hell, even a toaster oven, I suppose.

Awesome, thank you.
They're already de-seeded, and cut as I eat them for snacks almost every day.
Thanks for the tips!

You're welcome.
(Sorry I was so specific, though. I didn't mean to imply that you were a total kitchen tard.)

Ha, I'm not at all, just really didn't know how to roast red peppers. I always eat them raw.

I could always get the little blue pill.
And hey, I was a scientist. I know how to store specimens for long-term safe keeping.
I have an enormous bowl. If anyone lives close by, you're more than welcome to stop by and have a bowl.

Ha, yeah, liquid nitrogen actually.
First time I played with that stuff, I nearly burned my toes because I had flip flops on.
I had an enormous bowl of alfredo linguine pasta w/ grilled chicken and roasted red peppers.

This is good with a little bit of oregano sprinkled on it as well. :yum: If you want a mix and not just red peppers, zucchini cut longways and a sweet onion go well with this grilled.
Burn' em, don't baby them.
Skip the olive oil, high heat (open flame works great, I do it over my gas burners, propane torch works in a pinch) char the oustide skin (they should be black), put them in a bowl covered with plastic to steam, then let them cool in the fridge. When cool, peel and remove the seeds and inner membrane.

Ohhhh right over the gas burner huh? I never thought to do that. It's safe? I mean, you're not getting a toxic blast of gas?
