 I paid 60 cdn. But it's really cute - stainless steel. LOL. I bought it at Kitchen Stock. Paid too much. It tares as well as has grams and ounces. Though I must say I use it every day so it was a great investment :D

I need to go get one this weekend. I have a food scale but not digital. Does it need to do certain things? Or what am I looking for?

30 bucks
http://www.factoryprices.nl/images/huishoudelijk/keukenweegschalen/inventum%20ws150%20keukenweegschaal.jpg
This is mine, it costs around 25.5 euro. That's
39.30 CAD
34.06 USD
I've had 2 others from the same brand.
Was very dissatisfied with this one:
http://www.defrieslandshop.nl/catalog/images/klein%20huishoudelijk/keukenapparaten/keukenweegschalen/ws86.jpg
as it's hard to clean without damaging the weighing mechanism. Which holds true for the former one too, but not as much.
Price is higher actually at 40 euro/61.6 CAD/53.6 USD
Third type I was fairly happy with was one where the scale could be removed for cleaning so you wouldn't press on the weighing mechanism. Cheapest too at 25 euro.

I wonder though whether this brand is available in the States/Canada. AFAIK only weighs metric (of course!)

I THINK mine was somewhere between 30-40 (US). Got it at Target. It does everything I need it to do - tare, grams, ounces, and some other stuff that I don't know because I never use it.

I LOVE my Salter digital scale. I had a cheaper one that I dropped on the floor, so that "forced" me to have to buy a new one. :lol3: I paid $50 US for this one:

Ok, I finally bought one last night, I used it this morning and realized it doesn't change the ounces to grams. Is that a big deal? Should I have one that does both?

I think your going to need it to convert ounces to grams. I find it easier depending on what I'm weighing.

I have a Salter scale as well that I paid $50. It also has measurements both in ounces and grams, which I find very convenient.
