Would dymatize be one of the best pp powders would you say? Forget the taste for a minute although dymatize is pretty :yum:
I'm looking for quality, or are they all pretty much the same?

I've had some top dollar stuff and some super cheap stuff. As far as 'quality' I go by the macros, not the price. Quality to me is high protein with little to no fat and carbs. And then taste comes into play too. If I can barely choke it down, why buy it? Isopure Zero Carb for example. Not cheap stuff. But I made it through only half of a 5 lb tub before I just chucked it because I couldn't stand the taste. Maybe I got a bad flavor

We use Dymatize Elite or ISO-100. Both great bargain for the price and QUALITY. Low in fats & carbs, isolate proteins with digestive enzymes also added, not full of fillers, etc. Not to mention all the flavours taste great.

I have some the Choc Dymatized Elite. It is way to sweet for *me*and also thin/watery as a shake which i dont particularly like probably becuase it doesnt contain gaur gum, which is probably why it is thicker.

Had that same "problem" with O.N

The Choc (only one i've tried) contains natural and artifical flavors. I dont use it unless i run out of the PVL, which i make sure not to. .

I bought dymatize elite milk chocolate and it's pretty good. Yeah I know no chocolate for me but I figure for the amt I consume, I won't explode, I also love their banana and their butter toffee.
Next weekend I'll buy the metabolic drive banana cream.

Ileen you like junk in your PP :funny:

:yeahthat: My kids used to bug me constantly for the high-fat, EXPENSIVE Tim Horton's Iced Cappuccinos. Then they happened to take a sip of my Cafe Mocha PP  and now they make milkshakes with it in the blender every day. I don't even tell them it's good for them :shhh:

It is the only dymatize I will drink mixed with only water. It's sweet and good.

K adding that to my list.

I don't find it overly sweet. I mix mine right in the change room at the gym - a few good shakes and it's pretty well mixed, not too lumpy. Its AMAZING blended in a mixer with milk, but I don't do that very often.

The kind they have at the one I go to is this http://www.costco.ca/en-CA/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10297708&whse=&topnav=&browse=&s=1
no splenda.

There's another kind too but it's not on the website.

Neely-- was it chocolate by chance?

Isopure had a few bad batches somewhere between last fall and this spring I think? Cause I had the low carb chocolate isopure and it was HORRID. I took it back to the store and complained - they said that some of the chocolate batch didn't have enough cocoa (or chocolate flavor) in it.

And yah, it was horrible. :yucky:

I just orderd a whopping 5lbs of dymatize elite vanilla gourmet, based on this post and recommendations. I got it for 28.00$ including shipping! Lots of 'em for sale if anyone is interested.
I hope its as good as y'all say!

That's why you have to play around with the flavors and additives. Their free flavorings aren't good...the ones that cost more are quite good. Not to mention the TYPES of proteins...different types of whey, casein, milk, soy, whatever. Mix and match.

I generally buy their regular casein with one of their chocolate flavors that you pay for. And I make a customized mix of casein/whey for a post workout in another flavor.

Supplementmarket.com is the apparent supplier. I found them on Ebay, which is where I got my awesome price. 18.95 for the 5lb tub and 8-something for shipping!

I did a search for dymatize. I haven't found any where else selling for cheaper.

I use www.supplementwarehouse.com. They do a less 5% price match on the lowest price you put in. Shipping can get a little pricier than those that offer free shipping, but i think the money you save is worth it.
