I can't really call myself a true sushi eater since the only piece I will eat is uniagi. How bad is it? Does anyone know?

Cooked Fish = Raw Fish
Be careful of what is added to the fish. Rice, sugar, mayo, oils, etc…

unagi is not raw and has a sweet BBQ sauce on top which I am sure is loaded with sugar. If you stick with sashimi like tuna, salmon, etc, I would think they would be considered 'clean'. Just be careful when you order some of the maki rolls, some of them have mayo, cream cheese and other sauces that could be loaded with both sugar and fat. Also be careful of the deep fried rolls. The sushi rice is also made with a vinegar that would have sugar in it.

I was serious when I said ALL I would eat is the unagi; I have no interest in the rest of it. Seeing as how the unagi tastes like BBQ it's probably fattening and carb loaded from the sauce. Oh well; just won't eat it then.

regardless - unagi = YUMMY. have you tried any of the other sushi? It isn’t bad. Not slimy. No funny texture. Shrimp is cooked. Crab is cooked. Tuna tastes like tuna. Salmon tastes like salmon (much to my dislike). It all pretty much tastes the same.

ALL sushi is YUMMY! I don't agree though that tuna tastes like tuna, it doesn't taste to me like canned tuna at all! Just my opinion though! Now I want sushi! :dry:

Sushi = GOOD. I love it. Salmon sashimi, spicy tuna rolls, california rolls, prawn tempura rolls, tuna & green onion cones, tamago, etc... I seriously eat it at least once a week, I'm totally addicted.

LOVE sushi - of course, I love the 'junk food' kind of sushi - california rolls, dynamite rolls etc...
Edamame is my FAVOURITE snack - though I was wondering, I know it's technically 'clean' since its an unprocessed veggie - but am I right in that I should be considering it a 'fibrous/starchy veggie' like a potato or carrot (therefore limiting my portion/frequency of eating it)....

Yes! That's exactly what's throwing me off about it - the protein!!! Oh well - I think I should probably be more concerned with eliminating my Willie Wonka cheat days before obsessing over my edamame intake!!! :lol:
