Ok, today is my 2nd refeed, but I was curious. Do you need to watch how much sugar you are eating when you pick your foods? Most of the things I would pick are more snack-like foods not meal-foods. For ex. rice krispie treats, fruit roll-ups, apple fruit bars. Not sure if I should stick with things that don't have much sugar??
Some sugar is fine.
All sugar is not. Table sugar/sucrose, or high fructose corn syrup are not the greatest refeed carbohydrates.

don't do it. It may make you go backwards in your diet if you let in the sugar.

So maybe just have the 2 rice krispie treats, them make the rest like bagels and baked chips or crackers or maybe 1 or 2 fruit bars (Quaker apple). the fruit roll-ups are probably not good?

Yes I had a hard time if I chose more sugar based stuff like rice krispes or the fruit bars vs. sweet potatoes and rice cakes.
But everyone is different. But me I had bad cravings after the refeed and it was hard to get back on track. I would finally get back on track and then it was refeed time again.

i am going to limit my sugars this time around - not that i went overboard last time... but i think im going to only have one sugary item since my cravings post refeed last time for sugar was CAHRAZY!!!
I prefer to keep my sugars low, limited to around my workouts that day. Insulin surges (his and lows) all day can make one feel tired, not to mention most end up craving more sugar if its something you naturally crave. I feel far less bloated and better the following day keeping sugars lower.

A carb load requires sugar, aka
glucose in all its forms.
Ultimately bagels provide....
glucose
Additional fructose is not needed, mainly because of lipogenic potential

Bagels and rice cakes...foods of the gods, I tell you.
