Soy sauce is not the best but I imagine it's pretty diluted in just a tbsp

8g fat/tbsp?

That could be used as a fat source.

The thing with the soy sauce; I came across something at a conference late last year that said that it can increase insulin response by 150% or so over the normally expected response.

Aw...no more soy sauce :(

What about worcestershire sauce? Or balsamic vinegar?

Sorry to be a nag...I'm just looking for new ideas. :)

Edit: Nevermind on the worcestershire sauce, I just looked at the ingredients.

Just curious why soy sauce is not clean? I use it when marinating my chicken because the other marinades have about 5-9g of carb per tbls. Is it the sodium that makes it not clean? I know the sodium is awful, but I get the one that says lower sodium. Hmmmm...I use soy sauce alot for stir fries as well. I'd love to know why, since I don't see anything it it that would make it not clean.

Got my answer from Thunder's post...should of read down first...that sucks! Maybe it's ok once or twice a week if measured out in 1-2 tbls then? That is all I use is 2 tbl maybe 1-2x a week.
