I am wondering, if say it is the evening of a monday and unlike most days, you really do not feel like eating your 6th meal of the day. Can you carry it over to the next day instead? I think this probably is not a good idea but cannot understand why since the weekly totals would be the exact same.

Thoughts?

Maybe it depends? I wouldn't do it on the weekend, but I never sleep long enough at once on a weekday to really have a separation of days, so it's just postponing it a couple of hours, which I'd think was fine...

snakes eat by the week and some alligators eat once a year
weekly totals-it might work for humans

if your goal is weight loss then I would just skip the meal, not carry it over...if you are eating above maintenance, then you should eat it even if you don't want it...

Ruthie---you're too much

I really try to get in all my meals for the day, even if I'm not that hungry which isn't usually the case. But, if I wake up later on the weekends I'll sometimes eat every two hours instead of my normal every three hours to sqeeze my last one in.

But why - why not carry it over?

I just end up short that day. Carrying it over seems like too much work for me.

You should just join weight watchers. They let you "bank" points. ;)

LOL........I just sometimes feel like on Sunday for example I could do without one of them (rest) but on Monday (heavy training) I could use one extra and don't understand why this would be a problem.

When trying to lose fat eat even though you are not hungry is a hard concpt - and a new one to me b/c I used to always be hungry.
