I"ve tried protein shakes before (whey and eggs protein) and the ones I've tried all make my stomach go nuts. I was wondering if those who have this issues found a protein shake that works for them? I have no problem with rice protein, but that is good only if mixed into oats (it's soooo chalky).

Hi, I have a client who has some significant GI issues, and she had to always use rice protein. I believe she found one that doesn't upset her over at allthewhey.com

I can't quite remember which client it is or I'd check their files to make sure.

I'm using rice protein now, but it's sooo chalky and tasteless that the only way I can eat it is if I mix it in with grains or yogurt.

If I can't have dairy, do you think allthewhey would still be fine? I'm OK with yogurt, nut not any other dairy.

Have you tried straight up whey isolate?

Well, I'm sure not all GI issues are the same. Darn, I wish I could remember which client it was. I think allthewhey has sample packets you can try

I'll have to see if I can figure out which client it is ...

No I haven't. I tried GNC whey and egg protein (don't remember the brand). They all made my stomach hurt.

Not surprised. Cheap concentrate.

Try the isolate over at trueprotein. You can make your own custom blend and pick the sweetner/flavor. You may do better with something with stevia if artificial sweetners bother your stomach as well.

Kristi,
Do you order from this company? I am in Canada - checked out their web site and it looks interesting - I like the idea of being able to have one bucket of protein and several different flavours; rather than a fridge full of different proteins and no room for my kids food ;)

I am hesitant to order though... unsure of their track record

I second this! This is the only protein powder my tummy has been able to tolerate. :)

This is what I use ..love this. The creamy vanilla is good as well as the lowcarb chocolate. My GNC carries it although it is more expensive to buy it there.
