Dearest LBF Forum:
Water-water everywhere and not a drop to drink.
 I haven't been drinking water like I should. I try to get in the whole 6-8 glasses a day thing, but I've been going hard since last Thursday - REALLY busy with my cousin's bridal shower, parties, dinners, etc. I woke up this morning REALLY THIRSTY and realized that the only liquids I've had since last Thursday are:
1. Champagne
2. Tea (iced, sweetened w/ Splenda)
3. Diet Ginger Ale
4. Diet Coke
5. Coffee :coffee:
Holy shit!
My question is - now that I'm thirstier than those cartoon characters that get lost in the desert (or is it dessert? I can never remember.) should I IMMEDIATELY try to guzzle down and jack up my water intake to a few litres or should I just take it nice and slow and have a glass here or there?
Or will it even matter?
I'm not really concerned about the pee factor. I totally don't care. We have nice bathrooms here at work.
So, if the pee factor is not an issue - how much water should I drink today?
Love,
The LBF Village Idiot

I wouldn't down a few liters all at once just to make up for it.
You can drink a glass here and there or just take a few sips regularly all day. And it is not like you didn't drink any fluid at all... tea/coffee do contain some water ;)

Phew! Thank God! I was starting to gag just *thinking* about guzzling water. I love water - but I'm definitely a "sipper." LOL!

Water with a straw at the computer goes down way way easier and faster.:thumb:

No kidding!!!! I know that I'm *supposed* to be drinking, what? 4 - 6 litres a day? But don't you ladies drink TONS before a comp? How much do you think y'all put down during those days?
Gag gag gag. I'm not a guzzler (unless I'm REALLY hot)!
(What's weird is that I actually FEEL thirsty. I never get thirsty. . .I'm thirsty now. Ugh.)

 This is too funny.
Pre-comp I've been known to always remember to grab my gallon jug of water when I leave the house and then forget my purse. :lol3:

HAHAHA I can relate!
Once before a comp, I tried to bring in my gallon jug of water into Wal-Mart, and the old greeter man insisted he put a sticker on it to prove that I brought it in and did not just take one off the shelf and start downing it....:wtfsign:
From then on I have a new system with smaller bottles.......

 I've walked into SO many places with my water that I shouldn't have. Stores, restaurants, bars... It becomes so second nature to have that thing in my hand that I forget it's there

I know this feeling...
Hey Amy,
I have the same problem...it isn't that I don't like water...I'm just one of those people who really don't feel thirsty so I tend to just forget I'm supposed to be drinking. That and the fact that I have been a nurse for 10 years and it is ingrained in me drinking=bathroom and before this job, there just wasn't time for that
Oh, BTW..it is desert, although I have been known to get lost in a [B]dessert[B] before myself :D
