I am so sore that I am having trouble sitting down and standing up, I can walk slowly. My fiance can't touch me too hard, or hug me tight. I have HIIT today should I go ahead and do it or skip today? What can I do to speed up the healing process?

Well....it doesn't sound like you would be able to do HIIT very well.

I would say listen to what your body is telling you.

sounds like your body is telling you something. go to the pharmacy, buy some epsom salt and soak. you'll feel better tomorrow morning.

I always find that I can do a modified workout...then I feel way better. So perhaps, go for a long walk or jog... do some stretching... maybe a few light weights on a full body routine... anything to help clear out the lactic acid and thus the soreness. Don't push too hard... listen to your body - but make sure you move it a bit ;)

I agree. I was sore yesterday and skipped my workout. Now I'm sorry. I can barely move today. I'm almost positive I would have felt better today if I'd done something yesterday.

Why not do at least some SS cardio? I find that helps loosen things up, and I don't feel like a lazy slob.

Agreed - do something, even SS or yoga.

On days like that I do yoga-I find it really helps my sore muscles.

Have a soak, a stretch and do a little cardio as suggested. For me skipping a workout when I have overdone it is the kiss of death. Or at least a guarantee that the soreness will last a long time.

I did 20 min of ss and then lots of stretching, realy glad I did, it did loosen me up and I felt great that I didn't skip a workout, I was scheduled to do ss on Saturday so I'll do HIIT then instead. Thanks everyone :)
