I am no longer allowed to have any suger/sweetners of any kind....which sucks b/c my protien powder has sweetner in it. So, what are my alternatives then for PWO? Egg whites?

just straight up protein. chicken breasts, turkey, fish, egg whites, etc.
stick to leaner proteins PWO (no salmon or dark meat).

Just curious, does this include the herb stevia? If not, the PP called Proteins + uses stevia and it tastes alright. It comes in both chocolate and vanilla.

Don't you need fast absorbing protien after a workout? So egg whites would probably be my better choice? I just don't want to hinder my progress by not eating the appropriate (or as close as I can get to it) PWO meal.

Hemi - I'm not sure about stevia...at this point I think it's a no-no too, but I'll find out for sure & maybe get some Protien +. Thanks!

why can you not have protein powders if you dont mind my asking?

as far as fast absorbing PWO, in an ideal situation, yes. but you dont have a lot of options since you cant have protein powders. just a lean protein is fine. I dont always have p.p PWO.
egg whites are among one of the slower digesting proteins, btw.

I've not heard that. I believe T said it was a fast digesting protein.

It's not the protein powders per se, it's the sugar/sweetners in it that I can't have. I have IBS/stomach problems & sugar/sweetners give me pain/cramps/bloating etc. so I am trying to cut all that out of my diet.

I just wanted to second the STEVIA solution. It can be a little more expensive, but Jay Robb makes a very good strawberry pp. Give it a try.

I have 2 friends with hard core IBS and stevia is okay for them.

Nope, can't have sugar or dairy.
