Ok, this may sound weird but it was absolutely delightful. Sometimes when I eat the rice 'popcorn' flavored rice cakes, they don't really taste like popcorn. So---today I warmed them up in the microwave and just put a few sprays of spray butter on there ad a dash of salt and OMG... You must try it. Wow.

Question for you guys: do you actually like rice cakes? I have a lot of friends who do but I just don't find them filling or tasty. I guess that you consider them clean food? What nutritional value do they have for you in your diets? I am very new and very interested in everything - so these are questions I am asking out of genuine interest :) Thanks!

I LOVE rice cakes. Generally, I eat them PWO because they are a fast absorbing carb. Sometimes though I eat them with other meals because I love them. The plain ones aren't great- but some of the flavored ones are superb. Particually the white cheddar and the popcorn :D

Hi Lynny:
Thanks for posting. That is useful and gives me another option for pwo. I can't say I have ever seen or tried white cheddar or popcorn flavor so I will have to get some and try them out! Thanks.

I like the Nacho Cheese flavored. There are also white cheddar popcorn cakes that are really good.

I've replaced PWO rice cakes with low fat Breyers' ice cream sandwiches. :D

Oh wait, I don't eat rice cakes PWO anyway.

I like the mini caramel, french toast, cinnamon bun, etc.. kinds. generally have 10 mini rice cakes i'm over it though.

They are just a quick way to get carbs into your system after depleting them from training. There are other food items you can use too.
