10 Keys to the Lean & Sexy Look, Part II (http://musclewithattitude.com/readTopicMwa.do?id=1504047)
This article talks about gaining and losing body fat simultaneously. Would this only work when you have the newbie advantage. If so, would a more advanced lifter go straight into the 'diet cycles' mentioned here?

That was a good read.
She mentions BCCA's and Creatine in her article, is that something we should consider adding when dieting down to leaner %'s?
I used to take it with X trainer, but havent used it since switching to you (Erik)

I'm not sure I fully understand the question. I would think it would depend on your current goal - fat loss, muscle gain or maintenance? If you're in a pretty good place body-comp-wise, then the diet cycles sound like a good idea. If you need to lose or gain a decent amount of weight, then a more targeted approach would seem to make sense.
I'm working with Jen now and am leaning out nicely. I'm looking forward to reaching my goal and then having her help with maintenance - I want to STAY there once I get there! :o

I thought I was clear in my question. Sorry.

Pretty much, at least more often than not. Newbie advantage either being new to training period or new to training properly ... or drugs.
At least in my opinion.
Add to that, or a slower approach that results in less fat loss than a dedicated fat-loss approach (due to trying to add some muscle as well). This is what I usually try to do for myself. Ie. cycled phases/cals, etc., etc.
ETA - I didn't read the article.

She mentions the cycles in the article. I'm thinking that would be a smart way of going. I'd like to add some lean mass b/w now and march, but don't want a ton of fat w/ it.
There should be a week of maintenance in b/w the cycles, correct?
