Just wondered if any of you used cliff, powerbar, etc??
I can't get past the sawdust taste of most of them....then the ones that are reasonably tasty to me end up being glorified candy bars. Then again, I'm not the one to ask, I am just now finding my PP enjoyable....3 months later!

Since chicken is a big mainstay of our diet, MO, can you get Erik to make that a permanent smilie. We can put it to good use. :lol3:

Regular food; I'll get home from training, shower, and then cook a meal.
In fact, I haven't had any shakes or bars for over 6 months at all, at anytime of the day. It was the greatest decision I made with regards to nutrition.

Well, whey and bars and whatnot are supplements, they are meant to supplement a diet that is already dialed in, or at least, that's how I look at them. I realized that I was relying a lot on shakes and bars to get my calories in during the day, but, I wasn't supplementing with the shakes, I was replacing with the shakes.
For kicks, I decided to drop all shakes and bars and see about eating good, whole food meals during the day. I felt a lot better, and over time started to notice better gains as far as strength and composition, not to mention, no more whey shakes meant no more disrespecting the toilet, too.
I forced myself to start getting all of my protein from food, and eating all of my veggies and fruits, and started to pay attention to diet all together, and realized that I could get a lot more chicken and oatmeal than whey for the same price, and, it was more satisfying.
So, I've never bothering adding them back in.
On a sidenote, I started noticing something everytime I went to Costco...the guys that were big and looked like they took care of themselves were buying bulk red meat, chick and pasta, and the guys that looked skinny and weak as shit were all buying bags of protein powder.

They taste like candy and nearly all of them contain soy  (no no for me with thyroid issues) and I find they arent filling at all.
