was thinking..........

If foam rolling can be effective in breaking up scar tissue, what effect do you think it might have on a really stubborn small fat 'pocket' area. I have two areas on my hips that hold stubborn fat, tho dieting has reduced it some, its one of a few areas that really refuses to budge much. My surgeon had adviced me to cut it off but i didnt.

Since foam rolling can break scar tissue and help circulate blood to an area, wondered if it might have some effect on a fat "pocket"

Gonna give it a go for a while. Foam rolling the area/s once to twice per day. I can dream, right? :angel4:

opinions?

I think you should foam roll your stomach while you're at it.

:lol3: In theory it sounds good Ileen, but since scar tissue and fat cells are structurally totally different, I don't think it's likely to work. Have fun trying though, you never know. You may be able to sort of spreadthe cells out a bit so the "pocket" is not as visible, but you're already pretty lean, so I don't know if it would visually make a difference.

Bear in mind I'm just talking out my ass here, I really have no idea

Holy crap you guys are too uptight. I don't even know what her stomach looks like!

No, its not worth it. Use Lyle's stubborn fat protocol or something, but like Ali said, they're structurally different.

Ok, so now come the questions.

Is it like a tumor? Is it a fat pocket that sticks out? Is it just a small area that is harder than the surrounding fat? Is it soft/squishy?
