Sadly enough, I see this time and time again. You see someone consume a 2000 calorie meal...... with a diet Coke. Ignorance is painful!

This is sad! Unfortunately, I know lots of people who eat this way and wonder why they're still overweight. However, they are the same ones who look at me cross-eyed when they ask how I keep slim and I tell them about eating clean. Go figure.

Two of my coworkers are on "diets". Cutting back to them includes eating those 100 calorie packs of snacks. I don't know how to tell them to eat something else. They may be following the point system with Weight Watchers but they have no clue as what to eat.

But even foods labeled organic or "natural" can have just as many calories.
Healthy food has calories? Who knew?!

That kind of reminds me-- I think it's ironic that yogurt has SUCH a good reputation when it is really overreated in terms of nutritional properties. Sure, it has calcium, but some brands have 5+ tsp of sugar per serving, and most have very little protein.

But, try to tell that to most people. I've been flamed for saying that on another board.

There's this lady that does a cooking show for our local TV station...she's very sweet, but has to be at LEAST 100 pounds overweight...well, she was making something REALLY fattening, like a fried sandwich or something like that, and she pulls out this loaf of bread (I forget what brand) and goes, "They told us about this bread at my Weight Watchers group, so you're making the meal healthy for you, too!". I could not stop laughing.

Okay, yea, I'm making that for someone where I can eat one small piece and leave it there. That would be so very good. Leah, I have you to blame for my all of a sudden Nutella craving

I'm amazed by the yogurt propaganda, too. There are a bunch of radio ads now promoting it as this miracle food...and being high in protein (all 5g/container) is one of them
