View Full Version : Do you get 'fuzzy brain' on low carbs?

My carbs don't even have to be super-low to get this way. It seems that if I'm really good about sticking to my plan, after a week or two I get to the point where I have a heck of a time staying focused. I spend a lot of time wondering what the hell I was just doing. I just can't seem to hold on to a thought for any length of time.
This makes working especially difficult! (This is what made me start this post - I'm at work really trying to get some work done, but it's requiring too much thinking and I keep losing my train of thought.)
Maybe I just need more coffee...:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Nope. I work great on low carb.
But my husband is a bitch and completely unfocused when he does it.

I get like that when my carbs go low and stay low. By low I mean approx <60g
Coffee might make me more alert but it doesn't take away that 'forgot what I was about to do, think, or say' status.

I've been on low carbs for a while....
I just started to get 'fuzzy' brain due to the amount of activity on top of it....
or maybe the lack of any and all stimulants....
I miss coffee.

I just pass out and get sick from low blood sugar. Low carbs days for me are never less than 50-75g these days. If it is lower than that I'm ill.

I got this dull ongoing headache feeling when I first went really low carb. After about a week and a half to two weeks though it passed and now I'm fine.

I do have some of those feelings in the first few days of going low carb, including feeling more tired. But it usually goes away within a week once my body gets a chance to get accustomed to the low(er) carb intake.

I've been on 25g for going on day 9 today. Yesterday was the first day I was really dragging any. I think mostly from work stress, was fine when I left.

I only get like this after a few weeks low carb, not if I do it only for a few.

I get this everytime I lower my carb intake. It sucks! I get sleepy more easily too. I also get when i stand up quick off of the couch, I get a really dizzy, blurry feeling in my head, so i have to sort of stand there for a second and shake it off.
only when i psmf...other than that i do well with low carbs. anything under 60 is fine with me.
