Freezing Protein

Okay so I was told that if you freeze protein powders like to make ice cream that it breaks down the protein messing with its absorbtion. Is this true or just a bunch of fluff

Even if it does, it doesn't matter much.

thats what I was thinking. we have this daughter who is buying her mother (going thru chemo) and she freezes those new protein shots so she can eat them and I was there when my manager said NO you can't freeze it it will make it worthless. I just :rolleyes:

Depends. When you're talking PP which has been made from raw-processed milk then it's not a good idea unless you freeze it really fast. If you talk about plain jane PP, then it doesn't matter.

is this the same conversation as it denatures during cooking? Can imagine it matter much.

I make pro ice cream and dont freeze mine tho.
