Does anybody know a general approximation of how to know how much oatmeal you will get cooked per gram dry? I have been pre-cooking my oats this week, but they taste so much better "fresh". Thanks!

It would depend on how much water you add to make it,
if your going to cook fresh, just premeasure dry?

If you're working with Erik (I think you are?), then the amount he gives you is the dry measure.

I definitely am working with him and it is awesome so far! Anyways, in my plan it just says 1/2 cup oatmeal. I figured that was cooked...I know the meat measurements are done cooked, but I just thought 1/2 cup dry oats was a lot...well, that is because I use steel cut oats! Maybe 1/4 cup s.t.o. dry is what I have to do...yeah, that makes more sense. :D

The 1/2 cup is dry measure. In my case is for old-fashioned oatmeal.
You shall not assume things and change the measurement to 1/4c without checking with Erik first.
Just e-mail him and ask him so your plan gives you the results you want.

It's 1/2 cup dry. He actually typed that right into my plan (in the bullets). Maybe he missed it on yours...

It's typed like that on my plan too - in case that makes you feel better about his missing the measurement on yours being a typo.
