I'm fond of olives and pb. What are yours?

PB for me comes and goes. Sometimes it makes me want to gag.

I never get tired of raw nuts - almonds, walnuts and pecans primarily, but occasionally some other types of nuts as well.

I love avocado, and nuts even almonds
I hated almonds before I started working with Erik or so I thought.
I don't like pistachios but i'm not sure they are up there with the healthy fats.

ETA a really ripe avocado, smooshed up with a diced hot banana pepper and some fresh chopped cilantro :yum:

:faint:

I could have PB for all of my good fats. I like almonds too, but they are even better dipped in chocolate

Peanut(s)butter isn't exactly a 'good' fat in my book, it's a leguminous fat source and a very common allergen.
Good fats: all types of meat/fish/poultry ,real NON-moldy nuts & seeds, olives, olive oil, real butter, dairy.
Bad fats: anything that is about to get rancid (OLD nuts/seeds) or contains transfats.

Having said this: I luv
- spicy Surinam (hot Madam Janet peppers inside!) pb
- fresh pistachio nuts
- macadamias
- pecan nuts
- lightly salted butter
- a special type of black olives

ETA: and how could I've forgotten: smoked eel (also smoked herring! yum!)

Not a fan of oil as I like to eat my food.

Any kind of raw nut. Nut butters will do.

Avocado.

Full fat cheeses. I'm in a goat-cheese kick right now.

Whole eggs.

Salmon.

It's much easier to name the ones I don't care for:

flax seed (oil)
soy nuts or butters

As just a side item, I usually would reach for PB given the choice, but a few of favorite whole meal items are:

pecan crusted salmon (fat X 3 (pecans, olive oil, salmon))
Chicken topped in cheese with ham and tomatoes or salsa
nachos
cheeseburger
pizza

Oh! I thought we were talking healthy fats. Yes! To all of the above then. Throw in some mac & cheese too... or as Syb would call it, "Pasta Au Gratin".

BUTTER!! I love butter!

I also like peanut butter and other nut butters, raw nuts (all), avocado, cheese (raw)...

You know what, I like all fat, including oils - although not all the time, and they usually need to mixed with some type of vinegar (balsmic esp)..

ETA - Almost forgot coconut oil

I like pretty much all fats that have been mentioned except olives. I  PB.

I also really like hemp hearts, but haven't had them since I started with Erik. They're also high in protein. Great mixed with berries and organic yogurt :yum:

Give me cod liver oil ANY time over that gross gross flax oil. I've gagged so much after having had it that 5x times of trying was enough. Cod liver oil OTOH I've taken right from the spoon for over 2 years until I've developed ways to make it tastier (you can add sf lemonade syrup or better yet, a few drops of peppermint oil).
Currently I'm using my own fish oil caps but the liquid CLO was literally a lot easier to swallow than 10 FO caps. Less burping too.. only difference is that our FO is higher quality.

The main reason for me gagging over the flax oil must have been its' rancidity. The store where I bought it, is superduper warm w/o AC, while I got the CLO from a place with A/C. Biggg difference. Our FO is stored cool as well.
Have had major problems with seeds/nuts going rancid as well, like sesame seeds and again flax seed. A good reason to not buy ground flax seeds but grind it yourself and also try to buy smaller quantities.

PB for me comes and goes. Sometimes it makes me want to gag.

:yeahthat:

I can also get sick of peanut butter quite easily depending on the body composition phase I am in. It seems like I tend to enjoy/look forward to peanut butter more when I am dieting. When bulking and feeling stuffed already, peanut butter suddenly doesn't seem so appealing...

I actually do not care for most fat sources (I'll take carbs everytime over fat :p). I can eat most fat sources, but do not necessarily enjoy them. Usually the ones I prefer are raw nuts (especially almonds and walnuts), peanut butter (depending on whether I am bulking or cutting), and avocado. I also do not mind fish oil pills - down them with some water and be done with it :lol3:

For me? Nuts and nuts butters.
I rather eat my food as well and stay away from oils.

Agreed.. I'm not using oil or butter much at all, except butter for preparing my daily omelettes or other foods that involve onions. Otherwise I'm eating stews & soups that start with liquids so I don't need oil.
Even back when I was still eating bread (haven't eaten bread on a daily basis in like 5 years), I would prefer to not use butter (fortunately we never used crappy margarin) but simply slap on whatever I'd eat .

But you guys are weird.. slapping pb on apples? Or celery ? WTF!
Now.. using spicy pb in soups.. so yum!
