I believe it's all in the ratio of egg whites:eek:atmeal that makes the difference. This has by far been my favorite:

    High Protein Oatmeal Pancakes
    ¾ cup of oatmeal
    1 whole egg
    3-4 egg whites
    1 scoop of protein powder
    half a chopped apple
    a dash of cinnamon
    two packets of sweetener (optional)
Pour the mixture into a fry pan and cook on medium until one side is lightly browned. Flip it over until the other side is done.

My husband (a bona fide carb junky) demands these for pancakes now instead of the old kind. And they are hearty and hold together, perfect for travelling with.

I've tried chocolate, strawberry and vanilla protein powders, they all work great. And substitute whatever fruit you want. Yummy.

Sometimes i do pour the eggwhites over the oatmeal and cook it that way. Sometimes it turns out very yummy and other times i just wanna chuck it. But... just now i made the most successfull oatmeal eggwhite combination.
I cooked the 4 eggwhites with a little bit of splenda in the microwake till almost cooked then added in about 1/3 c cottage cheese and again cooked it for a few seconds more until done. at the end because it was a little watery i put some raw oats in so they can thicken it up a little and i added some crushed walnuts and a few raisins and a little more splenda and now i can't wait till tomorrow morning to eat it again !

I don't think that I could eat them together as one mass, but I do eat them separately at the same time. Although some of the recipes on here sound good.

I cook the oatmeal on the stove, then whip four egg whites in the blender with cinnaman and either half a scoop of vanilla protein powder or a bit of stevia. I pour it over the oats and stir for a couple of minutes; then I stir in half a cup of frozen blueberries, which thaw almost immediately. It's like fluffy oatmeal pudding....yummy! You have to whip the egg whites, though. Otherwise it's gross.

M'kay Fresh. The time has come to work on pronouns. I see you use "her", "him" etc when you mean to say "this" or "that."

You cook them together for practicality. See?

    Lesson over. Carry on, Stallion.
