I believe it's all in the ratio of egg whitesatmeal that makes the difference. This has by far been my favorite: High Protein Oatmeal Pancakes ¾ cup of oatmeal 1 whole egg 3-4 egg whites 1 scoop of protein powder half a chopped apple a dash of cinnamon two packets of sweetener (optional) Pour the mixture into a fry pan and cook on medium until one side is lightly browned. Flip it over until the other side is done. My husband (a bona fide carb junky) demands these for pancakes now instead of the old kind. And they are hearty and hold together, perfect for travelling with. I've tried chocolate, strawberry and vanilla protein powders, they all work great. And substitute whatever fruit you want. Yummy.
